1st Brabourne and Smeeth Scouts and Guides
Brabourne & Smeeth have a thriving Scout & Guide Group normally with over 100 youth members. A wide range of activities are available for 6 to 18 year olds. The sections we currently offer are:
Beavers – for boys and girls from 6 to 8 years old. Meet on Mondays from 5.00 to 6.00 p.m.
Brownies – for girls from 7 to 10. Meet on Wednesdays from 5.00 to 6.30 p.m.
Cubs – for boys and girls from 8 to 10 ½. Meet on Tuesdays from 5.45 to 6.30 p.m.
Guides – for girls 10 to 14. Meet on Wednesdays 6.45 to 8.30 p.m.
Scouts – for girls and boys 10 to 14. Meet on Mondays 7.30 to 9.00 p.m.
Ranger Guides – for girls from 14 to 18. Meet on Wednesdays 6.45 to 8.30 p.m.
Explorer Scouts – for boys and girls from 14 to 18. Meet on Fridays 7.30 to 9.15 p.m.
Each section has a wide range of activities helping our young people develop skills, confidence and life changing experiences including international events, camps, trips and the like as well having loads of fun and making new friends. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme is available for our older members.
To join one of our groups please contact the leaders using email as below. We are always looking for new adult supporters to come along either regularly or on an occasional basis to help run activities.
